Subject: New Kflop problem

Just tried flashing 433q and get message 'unable to verify board type'.

tried recovery and get message 'timeout establishing bootloader connection'.

This is my third board and I had no problem with the first two.

some help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Winch.

Hi Winch,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.  Did the board communicate before you tried Flashing the Firmware?

Do the LEDs on KFLOP flash when power is applied and nothing is connected except Power or USB?

Could you describe the exact steps you are performing for the Flash Recovery?

Regards

TK

Hi TK
When I Connect the USB both LEDs flash and then are steady.
I click config and flash and then recovery.
The default file to load is C:KMotion433q DSP_KFLOP DSPKFLOP.out.
I click open.
Am prompted to disconnect power so remove J3. (Am on USB power).
Click OK and then am prompted to restore power so replace J3.
LEDs flash and then constant.
Bar display on pc ends and message appears Timeout establishing boot loader connection.
Regards
Winch.

Hi Winch,

That all sounds correct.

Did the KFLOP Connect and Communicate before you tried to Flash Version 4.44q?

Contact Dynomotion Support with a shipping address to receive a replacement board.

Regards

TK

Hi TK
Ok, I will contact product support
I have used your products to refurbish an old HK mill and build a CNC welding machine with great results.
This next one is for a CNC plasma cutter.
Many thanks
Winch.
